CDPA is working on humanely Trapping, Neutering and Returning (TNR) a large colony of cats (over 16 cats and kittens). All the cats are taken into our partner vets, health checked and neutered, and returned to be a controlled colony that can continue living their lives, with their feeder keeping an eye on them.

TNR is so important for so many reasons. This helps manage the colony and stop the suffering cycle that comes with fights, diseases and sickness.

If you are able to support us in helping them, please do consider a donation directly to their care, no matter how much.
18 unneutered and ill cats & kittens in a garden

2 kind neighbours feed all these cats and kittens and are desperately trying to get help to have them all spayed and neutered.

They have asked numerous rescue groups and no one has come out to help while the situation gets worse

It is estimated with vet costs, diesel and trappers, it will cost at least €980

With over 90 cats & kittens in foster in 54 foster homes, we are in desperate need of supply. Every gift goes to cats & kitties who didn’t have a great start at life but are now in our care.

We were fortunate to receive a grant payment of €46,075 from the Department of Agriculture and Marine in 2023, for funding towards our animal welfare activities in 2024. This helps pay for the vet bills which amount to about €10,000 per month. If you would like to check out all the charities who were awarded grants in 2023 please click here.
