How your donation makes a difference…
Donations help us cover the costs of our vet bills
Many of the animals that come into our care are malnourished or sick. CDPA works closely with our partner vets to help get our cats and dogs feeling healthy and happy. This is our biggest cost because we will never give up on a sick animal and do whatever it takes! By donating you are directly helping the most helpless and vulnerable animals regain their health!
Donations help cover the costs of our Trap-Neuter-Return programme
CDPA runs a large Trap-Neuter-Return programme to help spay and neuter street cats around Dublin and further afield. We beleive that the only way to stop the increasing number of cats being born and suffering on the streets is to humanely trap and neuter all of the adults. Once feral cats are recovered, we return them to their original territory and we continue to monitor, feed and care for them with the help of the local community.
Donations help us feed our foster animals, cat colonies and provide food to low-income pet owners
During kitten season we can have to over 100 cats in our care at any one time. It can take months for a foster animal to becoming healthy and ready for their forever home. As part of CDPA’s trap-neuter-return programme we continue to feed and monitor cats for the rest of their lives and we also help low-income pet owners to care and feed for their animals.

Help CDPA Claim €112.25 on your donations at no extra cost to you!
CDPA is authorised by the Revenue Commissioners to claim tax relief on donations in excess of €250. So this means that if you pay tax and have donated €250 or more to CDPA in the past 4 years, then we can claim 45% extra in tax relief from Revenue at no extra cost to you! We just need your signature.
In order for CDPA to claim tax back on your donations you must have donated €250 or more to CDPA within a one year period, within the last four years.
The €250 or more donation can be done at once, or over several donations. For example if you have donated €21 or more over 12 months or made a few larger donations over the course of 1 year that amounts to at least €250.
CDPA can claim 45% in tax back on donations over €250, at NO EXTRA COST to you! That means a donation of €250 has the potential to be worth an additional €112.25 just by signing the form!
It’s so so easy! All you need to do is:
- Make a donation of €250 or more in a calendar year or set up a monthly donation of €21 or more.
- Download the chy3-enduring-certificate CDPA or contact us at donations@cdpa.ie and we’ll post one to you.
- Complete the form using your details and remember to sign and date it also.
- Post the form to The Cat & Dog Protection Association, Carmichael for Voluntary Groups, Carmichael Centre, 4 Brunswick St N, Dublin 7, D07 RHA8
