Take a look at the dogs searching for their forever home below and help give them a second chance at a happy life.
You might also consider a general adoption – we have more dogs in our care that are not yet on the website and the dog team might be able to match a pup to family in the meantime.
You can read more about these dogs by clicking on their photos.
We do not have a physical shelter and rely on our network of amazing fosterer carers to care for our dogsBy adopting a dog from CDPA, you free up a foster space for another doggo in need.
What one of our recent adopters said about their experience with CDPA…
“We were looking for a rescue dog and were lucky to see the CDPA online. [The team] arranged for us to meet Max, a lab cross, who we hoped would help make the house a little less lonely after losing our chocolate lab in March.
We met [the team] and Max and were very impressed with both, with [the team] impressing us with their professionalism, friendliness, love of dogs and obvious care for animals.
I was busy with work and so it was a week or two before we were able to meet Max again. [The team] gave him some training in the meantime, doing lead work amongst other things, and after the house and garden were evaluated to make sure they were secure, we arranged to take Max home on a trial period.
[The team] was incredibly helpful, loaning us a crate and harness, and also providing us with some food for Max to eat. He settled in really quickly and we were delighted to adopt him. He has continued to feel more and more at home since then and really is a special dog, giving so much positive energy and making us smile every day.
We were delighted to engage with the CDPA and found the experience a very positive one. The offer of a trial period made us feel far less under pressure than some other centres, and actually made us more certain that Max was the dog for us.
He and we were able to settle together without pressure and this helped us make the decision more quickly.
We can strongly recommend [the team] and the CDPA. They do fantastic work and are very caring about the animals they have, working hard to make sure they find the right home.
They also ensure that those who take an animal on trial or who adopt from them have the all the knowledge and support they need to provide the right environment.
